Description
The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the libxpc component of iOS and Mac OS X operating systems. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via crafted XPC messages. The exploitation may result in memory corruption.
Recommendations
For libxpc in Apple iOS versions prior to 8.4.1, update to version 8.4.1 or later to resolve the issue.
For libxpc in Apple OS X versions prior to 10.10.5, update to version 10.10.5 or later to resolve the issue.
