| Vector | AV:A/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Apple OS X versions prior to 10.10.5
Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Bluetooth subsystem, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service. This can be achieved by sending malformed Bluetooth ACL packets.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 10.10.5, update to version 10.10.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting Bluetooth connectivity to trusted devices until the update is applied.
