Description
The issue is related to insufficient access restrictions to certain functions in the browser, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to conduct man-in-the-middle attacks. This can be achieved via a feed: URL in a POST request, allowing the attacker to bypass the mixed-content protection mechanism.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 40.0, update to version 40.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to feed: URLs in POST requests to minimize the risk of exploitation.
