Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server version X8.5.2
Description
The issue is caused by resource management errors in the device's firmware, allowing a remote attacker to cause a denial of service by sending network packets with incorrect
variables values. This can be achieved through the transmission of authentication packets containing invalid variables.Recommendations
For Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server version X8.5.2, consider restricting access to authentication packets until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using
invalid variables in authentication packets to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
