CVSS v2.0

7.2

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1 Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 Microsoft Windows 8 Microsoft Windows 8.1 Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2 Microsoft Windows RT Gold and 8.1 Microsoft Windows 10
Description The issue allows local users to bypass intended filesystem restrictions and delete arbitrary files. It is related to insufficient access restrictions to certain functions in the Task Scheduler. An attacker who successfully exploits this could run arbitrary code in the security context of the local system, potentially allowing them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights. To exploit this, an attacker would first have to log on to the system.
