Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Internet Explorer versions prior to the fixed version
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access restrictions to certain functions in Internet Explorer, allowing a remote attacker to elevate their privileges via a specially crafted web site. This can potentially lead to a script being run with elevated privileges due to improper validation of permissions under specific conditions.
Recommendations
For Internet Explorer versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to sensitive features and functions until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using Internet Explorer for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
