VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Acrobat versions (affected versions not specified) Adobe Reader versions (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the implementation of ambientIlluminationColor in Adobe's PDF editing and viewing software, which is connected to flaws in access control mechanisms. This allows a remote attacker to potentially access protected information in the process memory by invoking a function. A memory-leak issue in Adobe Acrobat and Reader enables attackers to impact the system.
Recommendations For Adobe Acrobat, consider restricting access to the ambientIlluminationColor function until a patch is available. For Adobe Reader, avoid using the affected ambientIlluminationColor functionality in the meantime. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
