Description The issue is related to errors in handling functions in the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, a cryptographic protection tool. Exploitation of this issue may allow a local attacker to gain root user privileges using the vpnagent option.
Recommendations For Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client versions prior to 3.1(8009), update to version 3.1(8009) or later. For Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client versions 4.x prior to 4.0(2052) on Linux, update to version 4.0(2052) or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vpnagent option to minimize the risk of exploitation.
