Description
The issue is related to errors in the code of the InnoDB component of the MySQL database management system. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to cause a partial denial of service using network packets. The vulnerability can be exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols, potentially resulting in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations
For MySQL versions 5.5.46 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.46.
For MySQL versions 5.6.27 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.27.
For MySQL versions 5.7.9 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.9.
For MariaDB versions 5.5.x before 5.5.47, update to version 5.5.47 or later.
