Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the memory due to improper handling of regular expressions in the ICU library used by Google Chrome. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted string, potentially leading to a denial of service or memory corruption.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 40.0.2214.91, update to version 40.0.2214.91 or later to resolve the issue. For International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ versions before 2014-12-03, update to a version released on or after 2014-12-03 to fix the problem.
