Description The issue is related to a one-byte heap overflow in the XcursorThemeInherits function in library.c, which can be exploited by remote attackers to cause denial of service or potentially execute code. This is due to a buffer overflow vulnerability for a null-terminated string.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.1.15, update to version 1.1.15 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the XcursorThemeInherits function until a patch is available.
