CVE-2011-5287

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions HESK versions prior to 2.4.1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via several parameters, including hesk settings[tmp title] and hesklang[ENCODING] to /inc/header.inc.php, hesklang[attempt] to various PHP files such as /inc/assignment search.inc.php, /inc/attachments.inc.php, /inc/common.inc.php, /inc/database.inc.php, /inc/prepare ticket search.inc.php, /inc/print tickets.inc.php, /inc/show admin nav.inc.php, /inc/show search form.inc.php, and /inc/ticket list.inc.php, or the PATH INFO to /language/en/text.php.
Recommendations For HESK versions prior to 2.4.1, update to version 2.4.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the affected PHP files and parameters until a patch is applied. Avoid using the vulnerable parameters hesk settings[tmp title], hesklang[ENCODING], and hesklang[attempt] in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
