CVE-2011-5288

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ThreeDify Designer version 5.0.2
Description The issue is related to multiple buffer overflows in the ThreeDify.ThreeDifyDesigner.1 ActiveX control in ActiveSolid.dll. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long argument to certain methods, including the cmdExport(), cmdImport(), cmdOpen(), or cmdSave() methods.
Recommendations For ThreeDify Designer version 5.0.2, consider disabling the ActiveX control in ActiveSolid.dll as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the cmdExport(), cmdImport(), cmdOpen(), and cmdSave() methods to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
