CVE-2014-1949

CVSS v2.0

7.2

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GTK+ versions 3.10.9 and earlier
Description The issue allows physically proximate attackers to bypass the lock screen by pressing the menu button in applications that use GTK+, such as cinnamon-screensaver and gnome-screensaver.
Recommendations For GTK+ versions 3.10.9 and earlier, consider disabling the lock screen feature until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the menu button when the screen is locked to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
