CVE-2014-7944

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PDFium versions prior to 40.0.2214.91
Description The issue is related to the sycc422 to rgb function in fxcodec/codec/fx codec jpx opj.cpp, which does not properly handle odd values of image width. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a crafted PDF document.
Recommendations For versions prior to 40.0.2214.91, update to version 40.0.2214.91 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the processing of PDF documents with odd image widths to minimize the risk of exploitation.
