CVE-2014-9526

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions concrete5 versions 5.7.2.1 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via vulnerable parameters. Specifically, the gName parameter in "single pages/dashboard/users/groups/bulkupdate.php" and the instance id parameter in "tools/dashboard/sitemap drag request.php" are affected. This enables attackers to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
Recommendations For concrete5 versions 5.7.2.1 and earlier, consider disabling access to the "single pages/dashboard/users/groups/bulkupdate.php" and "tools/dashboard/sitemap drag request.php" endpoints until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the use of the gName and instance id parameters in these endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
