Description
The issue is related to a memory handling problem in the
seg write packet function, located in libavformat/segment.c. This problem can be triggered by a crafted video, potentially allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly execute arbitrary code due to a use-after-free condition.Recommendations
For ffmpeg versions 2.1.4 and earlier, consider updating to a version where this issue is fixed, as the current version may allow for denial of service or arbitrary code execution due to the memory handling issue in the
seg write packet function.
