| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco ASR 9000 devices version 5.3.0.BASE
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to bypass intended network-resource access restrictions. This is due to the device not recognizing that certain ACL entries have a single-host constraint, enabling attackers to use an address that was not supposed to have been allowed.
Recommendations
For Cisco ASR 9000 devices version 5.3.0.BASE, consider restricting access to the affected ACL entries until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, review and manually enforce the intended network-resource access restrictions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
Fix
Improper Access Control
