CVE-2015-1219

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 41.0.2272.76
Description The issue is related to an integer overflow in the SkMallocPixelRef::NewAllocate function in Skia, which can be triggered during WebGL rendering. This can allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have other unspecified impacts on the system by attempting to allocate a large amount of memory.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 41.0.2272.76, update to version 41.0.2272.76 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of WebGL rendering in Google Chrome until the update is applied.
