CVE-2015-1278

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 44.0.2403.89
Description The issue arises from the failure to ensure that a PDF document's modal dialog is closed when navigating to an interstitial page. This allows remote attackers to spoof URLs via a crafted document. For example, the alert dialog.pdf document can be used to demonstrate this issue.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 44.0.2403.89, update to version 44.0.2403.89 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of PDF documents that may trigger the modal dialog until the update is applied.
