CVE-2015-1465

CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 3.18.8
Description The issue is related to the IPv4 implementation in the Linux kernel, which does not properly consider the length of the Read-Copy Update (RCU) grace period for redirecting lookups in the absence of caching. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in memory corruption or system crash, through a flood of packets.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.18.8, update to version 3.18.8 or later to resolve the issue.
