Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Visualware MyConnection Server version 8.2b
Description
The issue concerns multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via specific parameters. The affected parameters include
bt, variable, and et in the myspeed/db/historyitem endpoint.Recommendations
For Visualware MyConnection Server version 8.2b, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
myspeed/db/historyitem endpoint until a patch is available. Avoid using the parameters bt, variable, and et in this endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
