Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in CPU and memory consumption, and TCP service outage. This can be achieved via a SYN flood or another type of TCP traffic flood.
Recommendations For Cisco Videoscape Policy Resource Manager (PRM) version 3.5.4, consider implementing measures to limit the impact of TCP traffic floods, such as configuring rate limiting or implementing intrusion prevention systems to detect and block malicious traffic. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the service to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
