Description
The issue allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via a file containing filenames with shell metacharacters. This can be achieved by using the backup comments feature to create the file.
Recommendations
For XCloner plugin version 3.1.2, consider disabling the backup comments feature until a patch is available to prevent the execution of arbitrary commands. Restrict access to the cloner.functions.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
