Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists in the Users module, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the username when creating a new user account. This occurs because the input is not properly handled when deleting an account.

Recommendations For Orchard versions 1.7.3 through 1.8.2, update to version 1.8.3 or later to resolve the issue. For Orchard versions 1.9.x before 1.9.1, update to version 1.9.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Users module to minimize the risk of exploitation.
