CVE-2015-5691

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Symantec Web Gateway versions prior to 5.2.2 DB 5.0.0.1277
Description The issue concerns multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in PHP scripts within the management console of Symantec Web Gateway appliances. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors. An example of such an attack is demonstrated against the admin messages.php script.
Recommendations For Symantec Web Gateway versions prior to 5.2.2 DB 5.0.0.1277, update to version 5.2.2 DB 5.0.0.1277 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the management console and PHP scripts to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the admin messages.php script until the issue is resolved.
