CVE-2015-6418
CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco Small Business RV routers versions 4.x
Cisco SA500 security appliances version 2.2.07
Description
The issue is related to the random-number generator, which lacks sufficient entropy. This makes it easier for remote attackers to determine a TLS key pair via unspecified computations upon handshake key-exchange data.
Recommendations
For Cisco Small Business RV routers versions 4.x, update to a version with sufficient entropy in the random-number generator.
For Cisco SA500 security appliances version 2.2.07, update to a version with sufficient entropy in the random-number generator.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the TLS key-exchange data to minimize the risk of exploitation.
