Description The issue is related to the ff mpv common init function in libavcodec/mpegvideo.c, which does not properly maintain the encoding context. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid pointer access) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted MPEG data.

Recommendations For versions prior to 2.7.2, update to version 2.7.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the processing of crafted MPEG data until the update is applied.
