CVE-2015-6943

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Serendipity versions prior to 2.0.2
Description The issue allows remote administrators to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This is possible when the "Use Tokens for Comment Moderation" feature is enabled. The serendipity[id] parameter in the "serendipity admin.php" endpoint is vulnerable to SQL injection.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.0.2, update to version 2.0.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the "Use Tokens for Comment Moderation" feature until a patch is available. Restrict access to the serendipity admin.php endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the serendipity[id] parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved.
