CVE-2015-7885

CVSS v3.1

2.3

Low

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 4.3.3
Description The issue is related to the dgnc mgmt ioctl function in the Linux kernel, which does not properly initialize a certain structure member. This allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory by using a crafted application.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 4.3.3, update to version 4.3.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the dgnc mgmt ioctl function until a patch is available.
