Description The issue is related to the set fat function in fat.c, which might allow attackers to corrupt a FAT12 filesystem or cause a denial of service. This can happen when an odd number of clusters is written to the third to last entry on a FAT12 filesystem, triggering an "off-by-two error" that results in an invalid memory read and crash.
Recommendations For versions prior to 4.0, update to version 4.0 or later to resolve the issue.
