Description The issue is related to errors in the code of the DML subcomponent of the MySQL database management system. It allows a remote attacker to affect the availability of the system via vectors related to DML, potentially causing the system to hang or crash. The vulnerability can be exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols, resulting in the ability to cause a hang or repeatable crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations For Oracle MySQL versions 5.6.27 and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
