Description
The issue is related to the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) implementation, which allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via crafted data. This is due to insufficient access restrictions in the RDP implementation. The vulnerability can be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary code using specially crafted data.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Microsoft Windows 8.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Microsoft Windows 10, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the RDP service until a patch is available.
