| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco TelePresence Server versions 3.0 through 4.2(4.18)
Description
The issue is related to resource management errors in the kernel, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending a crafted sequence of IPv6 packets. This can lead to a panic and reboot of the device.
Recommendations
For Cisco TelePresence Server versions 3.0 through 4.2(4.18), consider restricting access to the network to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limiting the handling of IPv6 packets may help mitigate the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
