Description
The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in packet processing functions, allowing a remote attacker to cause a denial of service by sending specially crafted packets. This can lead to cyclic redundancy check (CRC) and symbol errors on the receiving interface of an affected device, potentially causing an interface flap.
Recommendations
For versions 4.2.3, 4.3.0, 4.3.4, and 5.3.1, update to a fixed software version to address the vulnerability.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
