Description
The issue is related to errors in the code of the MySQL database management system. It can be exploited by a remote attacker to affect availability by impacting the InnoDB server. This can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of the MySQL Server. The vulnerability can be easily exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols.
Recommendations
For Oracle MySQL versions 5.7.10 and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
