Description
The issue is related to errors in the code of the MySQL database management system. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to impact the integrity and availability of information by affecting the DML server. The vulnerability can be easily exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols, potentially leading to a hang or crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations
For MySQL versions 5.5.47 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.47.
For MySQL versions 5.6.28 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.28.
For MySQL versions 5.7.10 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.10.
For MariaDB versions prior to 5.5.48, update to version 5.5.48 or later.
For MariaDB versions 10.0.x prior to 10.0.24, update to version 10.0.24 or later.
