Description
The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the ColdFusion interpreter. This allows a remote attacker to potentially spoof servers by using a specially crafted certificate. The problem is related to the mishandling of wildcards in the name fields of X.509 certificates.
Recommendations
For Adobe ColdFusion 10, apply Update 19 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe ColdFusion 11, apply Update 8 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe ColdFusion 2016, apply Update 1 to resolve the issue.
