CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions NVIDIA Graphics Drivers versions prior to 10.11.5
Description The issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service, such as a NULL pointer dereference and memory corruption, via a crafted app. This is due to a buffer overflow in the NVIDIA Graphics Drivers subsystem.
Recommendations For versions prior to 10.11.5, update to version 10.11.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the NVIDIA Graphics Drivers subsystem until a patch is available.
