Description The issue allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service due to an out-of-bounds read and memory corruption. This can be triggered via a crafted IOHIDReportType enum, which causes an incorrect cast. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow in the IOHIDFamily component of iOS and Mac OS X, which can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted application.
