Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the IOAcceleratorFamily component of the operating systems. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted application, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service (memory corruption).
Recommendations For Apple OS X, update to a version that includes a fix for the IOAcceleratorFamily component buffer overflow issue.
