CVE-2016-1661

CVSS v2.0

8.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 50.0.2661.94 Opera (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted web site. This is related to BindingSecurity.cpp and DOMWindow.cpp. The Same Origin Policy check is not sufficient as frames do not satisfy a check for the same renderer process.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 50.0.2661.94, update to version 50.0.2661.94 or later to resolve the issue. For Opera, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
