| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
NVIDIA Graphics Drivers versions prior to 10.11.5
Description
The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the NVIDIA Graphics Drivers subsystem of Mac OS X. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted application, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service due to memory corruption.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 10.11.5, update to version 10.11.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the NVIDIA Graphics Drivers subsystem until a patch is available.
