CVSS v2.0

7.6

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Edge (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow. It allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a specially crafted web site. Multiple remote code execution vulnerabilities exist when Microsoft Edge improperly accesses objects in memory, which could enable an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If the current user has administrative user rights, an attacker could take control of the affected system, install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
