Description The issue allows remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy, conduct Universal XSS (UXSS) attacks, or read arbitrary files by arranging for the presence of a crafted HTML document and a crafted shortcut file in the same local directory. This is due to a lack of protection for service data.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 48.0, update to version 48.0 or later. For Firefox ESR versions prior to 45.3, update to version 45.3 or later.
