Description The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the nsXULPopupManager::KeyDown function. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service, such as heap memory corruption and application crash, by leveraging keyboard access to use the Alt key during the selection of top-level menu items.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 48.0, update to version 48.0 or later. For Firefox ESR 45.x versions prior to 45.3, update to version 45.3 or later.
