Description
The issue is caused by a memory corruption vulnerability that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via a crafted web site. This can occur due to improper handling of objects in memory, leading to memory corruption. If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, the attacker could take control of an affected system, allowing them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 9 through 11: Update to a newer version to mitigate the risk.
For Microsoft Edge: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
