Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 55.0.2883.75 Opera versions prior to 55.0.2883.75
Description The issue is related to the mishandling of downloaded files, allowing a remote attacker to prevent the downloaded file from receiving the Mark of the Web. This can be achieved via a crafted HTML page. The exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 55.0.2883.75, update to version 55.0.2883.75 or later. For Opera versions prior to 55.0.2883.75, update to version 55.0.2883.75 or later.
