Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Input Manager Service of the Android operating system. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to cause a temporary denial of service, which requires a reset of user settings to fix. A local malicious application could cause the device to continually reboot.
Recommendations For Android versions 4.x through 4.4.4, update to version 4.4.4 or later to resolve the issue. For Android versions 5.0.x through 5.0.2, update to version 5.0.2 or later to resolve the issue. For Android versions 5.1.x through 5.1.1, update to version 5.1.1 or later to resolve the issue. For Android versions 6.x before 2016-11-01, update to a version released after 2016-11-01 to resolve the issue. For Android versions 7.0 before 2016-11-01, update to a version released after 2016-11-01 to resolve the issue.
