Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM Security Guardium versions 10.0 through 10.1
Description
The issue is related to a lack of protection for the SQL query structure, allowing a remote attacker to send specially-crafted SQL statements. This could enable the attacker to view, add, modify, or delete information in the back-end database by exploiting the vulnerability with specially created SQL instructions.
Recommendations
For IBM Security Guardium versions 10.0 and 10.1, consider restricting access to the database to minimize the risk of exploitation until a fix is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid using user-supplied input in SQL statements to prevent SQL injection attacks.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
